It's time to get ready for an amazing 2026–2027 school year! Registration will be held June 16–17 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Calloway-Smith Middle School. Parents and guardians are encouraged to bring all required documents to ensure a smooth registration process.

To promote a safe, focused, and equitable learning environment, all students are expected to follow the Calloway-Smith Middle School dress code each day. Students should wear a solid maroon polo shirt, khaki pants, an approved belt, and approved shoes and outerwear as outlined in the uniform policy. Clear bookbags are required for all students. Please review the complete dress code graphic carefully for details regarding approved clothing, shoes, jackets, socks, accessories, and grooming expectations.

We appreciate your partnership in ensuring students arrive at school dressed for success and ready to learn. Good afternoon Parents and Guardians,

We are excited to announce that the Crossing Over Ceremony will take place on Thursday, May 21. This ceremony is a special event to recognize and celebrate our students’ accomplishments throughout the school year.

On Friday, May 15, students who are eligible to participate in the ceremony will receive an official notice of participation. Please understand that participation is based on both academic standing and behavior expectations. Students who are currently failing classes or who have ongoing behavior issues and disciplinary concerns may not be allowed to participate in the ceremony.

We encourage all parents to speak with their child about the importance of maintaining appropriate behavior, following school expectations, and remaining focused academically during the final days of school. This is an important time for students to finish the school year strong both academically and behaviorally.

Please note that only students who receive the official notice of participation will be permitted to attend and participate in the ceremony.

Although the weather conditions are not ideal, Kites of Calloway-Smith will still take place with a modified schedule. Students will participate in drone activities and other engaging events in the gym. The event is currently underway and will conclude at 12:00 p.m. and admission is free.

Additionally, the Music Showcase will begin at 1:00 p.m., with an entry fee of $5.00.

Join us tomorrow, Saturday, April 25, 2026, for Kites Over Calloway-Smith and the Middle School Music Showcase. We look forward to welcoming you to campus for this exciting event.

Calloway-Smith Middle School will host a Football Training session on Tuesday, April 28, from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM. Students interested in participating should come prepared with appropriate workout attire, including shorts, a t-shirt, and tennis shoes or cleats, as well as water for hydration. Please note that all students must have a current physical on file in order to participate. This is a great opportunity for students to build skills, stay active, and get involved with the Wildcats football program.

You are invited to attend our 4th quarter parent meeting this Thursday, April 23, at 12:30 p.m. We look forward to your participation and partnership as we discuss important updates and end-of-quarter information.

We hope that you all are enjoying this wonderful week of Spring Break and taking this time to relax, recharge, and spend quality time with your families. As we prepare to return, we have several exciting events and important activities approaching, including team tryouts, prom, Fun Day, and the 8th grade Crossing Over Ceremony.

Please remember that in order for your child to participate in any team tryouts, a current physical completed by a physician is required. We also strongly recommend completing the DragonFly account requirements in advance, as this platform is used to upload and track all necessary athletic forms and to ensure that students are cleared and eligible to participate without delay.

Upcoming tryout dates are as follows: Boys Basketball tryouts will be held April 21–22, Cheerleading tryouts will take place April 21–23, and Volleyball tryouts are scheduled for April 28–29. Students must be in good academic standing and demonstrate satisfactory behavior to be eligible to participate.

Kites of Calloway-Smith will take place on Saturday, April 25, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This free event is open to all students. Please join us for a fun and engaging STEM experience. The 7th and 8th grade Prom will be held on Friday, May 1, with a cost of $35. The 8th Grade Crossing Over Ceremony is scheduled for May 21, and additional details regarding our upcoming Fun Day will be shared soon.
